What is Spontyx?
Spontyx is a free AI sports trivia game you play in your browser. The questions are AI-generated and cover real sports, starting with the NFL, across more than a dozen game modes: quick quizzes, a daily challenge, streak and timed runs, stat guessing games, ranked one-on-one duels and battle royales.
Is Spontyx free to play?
Yes. Spontyx is free: you get the daily challenge, the Today in Sport quiz and one play a day of every solo mode at no cost. The paid plans, Pro and AI Pro, remove the daily limit and unlock the full library, but you never have to pay to play.
What sports does Spontyx cover?
Spontyx is NFL-first, so every mode is fully stocked with NFL questions today. More sports, including the NBA, Formula 1, UFC, MLB, tennis and soccer, are on the way, and the AI question engine is built to expand to any sport.
How do I play Spontyx?
Create a free account, pick a sport, then choose a game mode and start playing. Most modes are multiple choice; a few, like Hint Hunt and Stats Grid, ask you to type the answer. You earn XP and coins as you play and climb the leaderboards.
What game modes does Spontyx have?
Spontyx has more than a dozen modes: Classic Quiz, Today in Sport, the Daily Challenge, Streak Mode, Timed Blitz, Higher or Lower, Stats Grid, Hint Hunt, Ranked 1v1 Duels, Battle Royale, Friends Lobby, the AI Quiz Arena and Custom Quizzes you build yourself.
What is the Spontyx daily challenge?
The Daily Challenge is one fresh quiz every day that everyone plays, with its own leaderboard. Today in Sport is a separate daily quiz built around the real games and sports news from that day. Both are free.
What do Spontyx Pro and AI Pro include?
Pro costs $5.99 a month or $47.88 a year and removes the one-play-a-day limit, unlocking the full quiz library and archive. AI Pro costs $9.99 a month or $83.88 a year and includes everything in Pro plus the AI Quiz Arena, where the AI writes fresh questions on topics you choose.
What are coins in Spontyx?
Coins are the in-game currency. You earn them by playing: completing missions, claiming daily bonuses and placing well in games. Coins are always earned through play and are never bought with real money.
Can I play sports trivia against friends?
Yes. You can face one friend in a Ranked 1v1 Duel, drop into a Battle Royale where the last player standing wins, or open a Friends Lobby with a short code so a whole group answers the same questions at the same time.
What is the AI Quiz Arena?
The AI Quiz Arena is a mode where the Spontyx AI generates a brand-new quiz on a topic you choose, so you never run out of fresh questions. It is included with the AI Pro plan.
How do leaderboards and ranks work on Spontyx?
Every mode has leaderboards, and ranked play has a seasonal division ladder that runs from Bronze up to Champion. You climb by winning ranked duels and games, and each season resets with part of your rating carried over.
Can I create my own quiz on Spontyx?
Yes. Custom Quizzes let you write your own questions and share them with a code, so friends can play your quiz and appear on its leaderboard.
Can I play Spontyx on my phone?
Yes. Spontyx runs in any modern mobile browser, and you can install it to your home screen as an app. There is nothing to download from an app store.
Can I run Spontyx trivia at my bar or venue?
Yes. Spontyx for Venues lets a bar, pub or event host run live trivia nights where guests join from their phones and compete on a shared leaderboard. You can learn more on the Spontyx for Venues page.
How do I cancel my Spontyx subscription?
You can manage or cancel a Pro or AI Pro plan at any time from your account. You keep paid access until the end of the billing period, and your free account and the coins you have earned always stay with you.
